FAQ
Q: Where are you located?
A: Loubelle Jewellery does not have a physical store - we are a popup jeweller at corporate and special events in greater Melbourne.
Q: How does it work?
A: Permanent jewellery is secured around the wearer by welding a link within the chain, and has no clasp for daily removal. A laser-precision spark of electrical energy creates a plasma discharge that melts metal together for a permanent bond. It happens in a millisecond and is safe and immediately cool to the touch.
Q: How long does it last?
A: Jewellery will last as long as you let it - taking care of your jewellery ensures a lifespan of months to years. Depending on your lifestyle, it could last from 3 months to 5 years.
Q: Do you offer a warranty if it breaks?
A: We offer free re-welds out of our studio in Templestowe if your bracelet breaks within 30 days. After 30 days, a $20 re-weld fee will apply.
If you prefer the addition of a clasp, we can create a traditional clasped jewellery piece for $30.
If you have any issues, please reach out - customer satisfaction is our priority.
Q: What is required at the event location?
A: Location must have power source for the welder, adequate lighting, and desk or table with 2x seating. Loubelle takes every safety precaution possible to ensure comfort of all permanent jewellery customers.
Q: What is the minimum age for permanent jewellery?
A: 16 is the minimum age. Keep in mind you may need to remove jewellery for sport or school.
Q: Can I travel or have medical procedures?
A: You can travel with permanent jewellery; metal detectors do not require jewellery removal.
You may need to remove permanent jewellery for medical procedures - please speak to your specialist about this.
Q: How do I remove it?
A: To remove permanent jewellery, cut a link of the chain with scissors.
Q: Is it fragile?
A: Just like any jewellery, the chain will break if caught or pulled hard. It is reasonably durable and can withstand normal daily activities for months to years if taken care of.
Q: What do I do after it's off?
A: You can have it re-welded on at our studio in Templestowe, or have a clasp applied to make it into a traditional jewellery piece.
